About Me

My photo
My name's Alison but for reasons too long to go into I'm known as Cockney Blonde or CB for short. I've been rubber stamping for several years but now spend most of my time either knitting or crocheting. However, with the advent of a New Year I have bitten the bullet and am tackling my usually hated pastime of sewing. I've even bought 'Sewing for Dummies' to guide me on my way. I've been with my hubby Dave for 24 years and between us we have 4 kids and 5 grandkids. We also have 2 cats and a dog, the latter features as my 'photo' image. I used to be able to blog daily but these days I struggle to blog weekly. Hopefully now we are settled into our new home in the country, I can get back to a daily (well almost) update from the room I now have to share with hubby. No more personal crafting space for me!!! Thanks to all the blogs and sites I follow for all your brilliant inspiration, and thank you to everyone who finds the time to comment on my blog.

Tea for Two.....and a Cupcake

Evening Peeps. I thought I was never gonna get this card uploaded today. I've had a really busy day at work and then the computer has decided to play coy so its taken a while. Anyhow, I hope you think its worth it.

I've had a brill time playing with some of my new goodies purchased at the Harrogate Show, including the image and sentiment which I got from the LOTV stand. The little cuties have been coloured with copics:-
E21, 93, Promarker Satin
E31, 33, 35
YG03, 06, 09
B00, 02
RV21, 23, 25
C5, 7
I chalked over the sentiment to soften it. The flowers and pearls are from The Hobby House (also at Harrogate). The brads are from my stash.

The vine leaf trim is a Martha Stewart punch (from Harrogate Show, lol).

The cupcake is part of a Papermania stamp and I have paper pieced the icing and then used copic RV25 to colour the cherry.
The little heart charm (made with love) and the handbag charm are from Mei Flower (Harrogate...).

All the DP is Bo Bunny Alicia which is double sided and I've managed to incorporate both sides of both papers.

Finally the main shape is a Go Kreate frame from Samuel Taylor's stand at Harrogate. The large scalloped circles are a nestie from the Oyster Crafts stand.

Phew! I think thats all the detail folks so here come the challenge links, x
