About Me

My photo
My name's Alison but for reasons too long to go into I'm known as Cockney Blonde or CB for short. I've been rubber stamping for several years but now spend most of my time either knitting or crocheting. However, with the advent of a New Year I have bitten the bullet and am tackling my usually hated pastime of sewing. I've even bought 'Sewing for Dummies' to guide me on my way. I've been with my hubby Dave for 24 years and between us we have 4 kids and 5 grandkids. We also have 2 cats and a dog, the latter features as my 'photo' image. I used to be able to blog daily but these days I struggle to blog weekly. Hopefully now we are settled into our new home in the country, I can get back to a daily (well almost) update from the room I now have to share with hubby. No more personal crafting space for me!!! Thanks to all the blogs and sites I follow for all your brilliant inspiration, and thank you to everyone who finds the time to comment on my blog.

Just Magnolia Easter Basket Challenge

Well I'm afraid I had to raise the bar here. My container is part of a Fortnum and Mason's Chocolate Box, lol. I was finding it difficult to get the lighting right for the piccies so I hope you can see them OK.
Tilda licking her lollipop seemed appropriate to have on a basket full of chocolates. I've used watercolours to colour her in.
The paper is from K & Co Que Sera Sera range.
Hope you like.

  2. Cor you're starting early! Haven't even thought of it yet lol! We won the easter bonnet comp last year hehe! Great basket, have never altered one before!

Thanks for your comments, in reply...

I work very quickly late at night! The colouring is done while they have breakfast coz I not got daylight lamp then I cobble them together when they go bed lol!

That one was an exception done in the day, OH was building a model at table, eefie was trying to undo his cars with a screwdriver and molly was colouring so we all sat together :)

The ribbon just wrap it round back of card and tie in knot at front leaving long tails then twist them. Where it naturally touches the card pop a small glue dot under to secure and one at the ends x
