About Me

My photo
My name's Alison but for reasons too long to go into I'm known as Cockney Blonde or CB for short. I've been rubber stamping for several years but now spend most of my time either knitting or crocheting. However, with the advent of a New Year I have bitten the bullet and am tackling my usually hated pastime of sewing. I've even bought 'Sewing for Dummies' to guide me on my way. I've been with my hubby Dave for 24 years and between us we have 4 kids and 5 grandkids. We also have 2 cats and a dog, the latter features as my 'photo' image. I used to be able to blog daily but these days I struggle to blog weekly. Hopefully now we are settled into our new home in the country, I can get back to a daily (well almost) update from the room I now have to share with hubby. No more personal crafting space for me!!! Thanks to all the blogs and sites I follow for all your brilliant inspiration, and thank you to everyone who finds the time to comment on my blog.

A challenge within a challenge and Pole-Dancing!!!

Good evening everyone. Before I get onto the card there are a couple of things to report.

Firstly, it is my baby's birthday today...Ah! He's reached the grand age of 26...OMW where have the years gone? We've just got home from taking him and a friend for a meal and they're now at the pictures. The first time he's ever been on his own. I know that sounds odd but for those who know him he has problems so this is a really big thing for him.

Secondly, if you're up for a bit of fun I have a wee challenge on my blog. See my previous posting. However, some of you must have wild imaginations as its been suggested that I've been pole dancing ..... that enormous amounts of alcohol have been consumed.....even that I may be a rock chick. Melted plastic has also been suggested. Now that and pole-dancing makes my mind boggle.

You are all way off the mark. Keep guessing and if necessary I'll give you a little clue tomorrow...

Now for todays card. Its a challenge within a challenge as I created it with our KCUK monthly challenge in mind but using the Crafty Sentiments sketch.

I can't remember where the image is from but I've stamped in stazon after colouring some CS with versamagic rust. The text paper is from a French newspaper which I've torn and coloured with the rust and also Versacolor blue lagoon. A text stamp has been used on the die cut circle. I've also distressed the grey matt with scissors and overstamped with versafine smokey grey using a small muscial notes stamp.

I'd like to enter it into the following challenges:-
