About Me

My Photo
My name's Alison but for reasons too long to go into I'm known as Cockney Blonde or CB for short. I've been rubber stamping for several years but have recently rekindled my knitting hobby. This led me to wanting to give crocheting another try and thanks to a fabulous teacher, Jo of JoZarty, I am now totally hooked with hooking. I've been with my hubby Dave for 23 years and between us we have 4 kids and 5 grandkids. We also have 2 cats and 2 dogs, one of which features as my 'photo' image. I used to be able to blog daily but these days I struggle to blog weekly. Hopefully now we are settled into our new home in the country, I can get back to a daily (well almost) update from the room I now have to share with hubby. No more personal crafting space for me!!! Thanks to all the blogs and sites I follow for all your brilliant inspiration, and thank you to everyone who finds the time to comment on my blog.

Oh Where, Oh Where, Has My Mojo Gone???

I don't know what's happened to my card-making/papercrafting Mojo. I think I must have left it behind in Bradford when we moved.
Whether its my new 'life' or the environment I don't know, but all I want to do at the moment is knit, crochet and sew.......Can you believe I just used the 's' word. Me and sewing......Note to self 'must see Doctor soon'.

So here are 3 more ear warmers that I knitted up a couple of weeks ago and only got around to sewing on the buttons yesterday. They'll appear in my Folksy shop a little later today.

I've also been busy knitting a cardi for our English Grandee which I should be able to share with you very soon

Oh, forgot to mention.....I'm also seriously into baking. Every Sunday since Christmas I've been making a loaf of bread, a cake and biscuits.....Yummy!

TTFN, x

  1. Maybe it is the time of year to be surrounded by beautiful yarn, You will get your mojo back, it is just resting a bit.

  3. Yum, yum! I love home made bakes and love making them, too! Sorry you've lost your card craft mojo - struggling with mine, too, for six months and am looking for inspiration online! I do think sometimes it depends on weather, but I'm also sure it will take a while to settle into your new home and just play a little more. Maybe a good Stamp Club will bring it back. Hope so xxx
