Why is it when you think you're getting back on top of things life throws more stuff at you to deal with. Anyway this first picture is of our newest Grand-Daughter, Faye Marianne, born on 16th March. She was almost 3 weeks old here, pictured with her big cousin, Casey. At the last minute we had Casey join us for a week caravanning in the Lakes and we took a day trip to Scotland to see all our other Grandees. Casey was enthralled with Faye and didn't want to put her down.
Here is Faye's big brother Dan, although not so big at only 21 months. Casey was fascinated with his ginger curly hair and kept touching it , lol
Here she is again this time with cousin Rose who is my other step-daughter's eldest. They had an absolute ball playing dressing up and hide and seek etc. Granddad got into the spirit of things and chased them with a toy spider.
And here is her little brother Max who is the spitting image of her. He kept trying to join in and was getting knocked over but just jumped back up grinning.
Finally, here is a picture of Casey at my Mum's nursing home with the newly hatched Easter chicks. For the last few years the home has had incubators of eggs leading up to Easter for the residents to watch the chicks appear. I think its a lovely idea and the residents love it. Clearly so do the visitors.
Apart from family taking up a lot of time at the moment we have our house up for sale. Anyone want to buy it??? We've put a deposit on a plot in Cheshire so we're coming back over to that side of the Pennines.
Sadly we also lost our old cat last month. He had been poorly for a while but still sad.
We've just celebrated our 20th Wedding Anniversary which is 'China' and to mark that we are holidaying in China later in the year. Of course it helps that Hubby is retiring next month so no work ties for him.
As for crafting, I actually made some cards last week at a local workshop I go to but other than that its been knitting, more knitting and practising my crocheting.
Off to Budapest on Friday for a long weekend to have an early celebration of my birthday. Its a biggy this year so I'm making the most of it.
So for now I'll say toodle loo and hope to be back soon.
