About Me

My photo
My name's Alison but for reasons too long to go into I'm known as Cockney Blonde or CB for short. I've been rubber stamping for several years but now spend most of my time either knitting or crocheting. However, with the advent of a New Year I have bitten the bullet and am tackling my usually hated pastime of sewing. I've even bought 'Sewing for Dummies' to guide me on my way. I've been with my hubby Dave for 24 years and between us we have 4 kids and 5 grandkids. We also have 2 cats and a dog, the latter features as my 'photo' image. I used to be able to blog daily but these days I struggle to blog weekly. Hopefully now we are settled into our new home in the country, I can get back to a daily (well almost) update from the room I now have to share with hubby. No more personal crafting space for me!!! Thanks to all the blogs and sites I follow for all your brilliant inspiration, and thank you to everyone who finds the time to comment on my blog.

Happy New Year and a Resolution

HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!

I can't believe its almost 3 months since I last blogged. Where has that time gone. So that has led me to make the following resolution:

I will endeavour to keep my blog updated and current and try not to neglect my blogging friends.

Of course, part of the reason for my absence was our enforced extended caravan holiday while we were waiting on our new place to be delivered. Above is a picture of the bare site (looking up) where our new home was to be sited.

Here, below, is a photo looking down from the top of our garden with Hubby and #2 Son posing casually.

And here is a picture from the top this time with our home in place. The garden is all decked now and although the weather has been dull and dismal it promises to be a wonderful setting in the warmer months. So far we are loving living in the country and being right near Delamere Forest is just delightful. I get a real feeling of 'wind-down' when I drive home from work now.

So we've just had our first Christmas and New Year here and can honestly say this is the best move we've made. We're still getting organised inside, especially in the the craft/study room, so my card making is still not back into full swing but the year is yet young.

However, given that since we moved in we spent almost 3 weeks touring China I think I can be forgiven for neglecting my blog and crafting. But more of that for the next time including some photos.

So for now I will leave you to carry on recovering from any Christmas and New Year indulgencies and I promise to be back very soon, x
