Good Evening Peeps, another beautiful day here in Cheshire. Sadly our gardener, aka #2 Son, had to go home today, but while he was here he managed to clear the garden of weeds, and wash my car. He also managed to empty the contents of our kitchen.....
I just wanted to share some piccies with you of these rice bags I've made in anticipation of selling at future craft fairs. So simple to make and brill for using up scraps. The top 2 have been backed with material from a re-cycled t-shirt so they would be nice and cosy if they were heated.
These last 2 are just in a 100% cotton so would probably be more practical as cool packs.
Either way they are great for soothing aching bones and joints.
Back soon with some knitting, x
About Me
- cockney blonde
- My name's Alison but for reasons too long to go into I'm known as Cockney Blonde or CB for short. I've been rubber stamping for several years but now spend most of my time either knitting or crocheting. However, with the advent of a New Year I have bitten the bullet and am tackling my usually hated pastime of sewing. I've even bought 'Sewing for Dummies' to guide me on my way. I've been with my hubby Dave for 24 years and between us we have 4 kids and 5 grandkids. We also have 2 cats and a dog, the latter features as my 'photo' image. I used to be able to blog daily but these days I struggle to blog weekly. Hopefully now we are settled into our new home in the country, I can get back to a daily (well almost) update from the room I now have to share with hubby. No more personal crafting space for me!!! Thanks to all the blogs and sites I follow for all your brilliant inspiration, and thank you to everyone who finds the time to comment on my blog.
Like the idea of these. We are off to bristol tomorrow to see Family and the forecast is not good so packing extra blankets for the camper and one of these would go down a treat. Will get sewing when I get home. Will bring my art journal to Vicky Stampers for you to have a good snoop but don't get too exited, there's not a lot of pages done.

These look great Alison, Mr. Auburn is a big fan of heat packs as he suffers with his back. Are they microwavable like the ones you buy?
