About Me

My photo
My name's Alison but for reasons too long to go into I'm known as Cockney Blonde or CB for short. I've been rubber stamping for several years but now spend most of my time either knitting or crocheting. However, with the advent of a New Year I have bitten the bullet and am tackling my usually hated pastime of sewing. I've even bought 'Sewing for Dummies' to guide me on my way. I've been with my hubby Dave for 24 years and between us we have 4 kids and 5 grandkids. We also have 2 cats and a dog, the latter features as my 'photo' image. I used to be able to blog daily but these days I struggle to blog weekly. Hopefully now we are settled into our new home in the country, I can get back to a daily (well almost) update from the room I now have to share with hubby. No more personal crafting space for me!!! Thanks to all the blogs and sites I follow for all your brilliant inspiration, and thank you to everyone who finds the time to comment on my blog.

Started packing and more ear warmers

Good Afternoon. Yet another day of sunshine mixed with heavy downpours, fortunately I didn't need to go out today.

Here is another ear warmer again in James Brett marble chunky, in a lovely green mix - it also has hints of purple.

Below a close up of the embellishment I crochet.
Well, we've made a start on the packing. 6 boxes of books and hardly any are mine. What is it with men and down-sizing??? Hopefully when he finds out there isn't enough room to house them he may decide that he can part with some, I won't hold my breath...

Meanwhile, my younger son is doing a brilliant job of shredding important documents that we no longer need. Why is it it takes a house move before you have a proper clear-out?

I was hoping to have a pair of baby shoes to show you tomorrow, but having made one and stitched it up it just isn't holding its shape, so its now at the bottom of the bin and another 2 projects are in progress. Well in fact that isn't  totally correct.....there's a bag in the stitching up phase, granny squares on a hook building up to a blanket for our new home, a matinee jacket on a hook, and a pair of bed socks on needles. I have a short attention span, lol

TTFN, x
