a musical box, wound up and ready to play....
Who remembers those fabulous childrens' programmes that were on at lunchtime? Well this is a box but not a musical one, in fact all I'm showing you is the lid as that's the only part with a bit of bellie on it. The main item is what's inside.
Its our little grand-daughter's 4th birthday next week and she's a real girlie girl, loving anything resembling fairies or princesses. So taking inspiration from Kate Crane's pyramid card in the July Craft Stamper I made this little card for Casey. It would have been so much easier if I had stamped and coloured my card like Kate had done but I don't think my little grandee would have appreciated it.
As you can see the outside of the pyramid is decorated with Tildas all coloured with copics and the occasional bit of bling. The birthday text DP I've had in my stash for ages and I'm not sure where it came from but the green patterned DP is from a 12 x 12 Papermania stack 'Rose Garden'.
I also found it easier to tie the top of my pyramid with ribbon threaded through the tips.
That way when she opens it she could leave it partly looped to keep an upright shape (hope that makes sense to you all). Inside I've used more of the same papers and the two number 4s are chipboard shapes which I've coloured with adirondack dabber, adhered to some of the green base card and then adhered off centre back to back. That way she can see the 4 from either way she looks at it.
I'd like to enter it into the following challenges and I hope you like it, x
