About Me

My photo
My name's Alison but for reasons too long to go into I'm known as Cockney Blonde or CB for short. I've been rubber stamping for several years but now spend most of my time either knitting or crocheting. However, with the advent of a New Year I have bitten the bullet and am tackling my usually hated pastime of sewing. I've even bought 'Sewing for Dummies' to guide me on my way. I've been with my hubby Dave for 24 years and between us we have 4 kids and 5 grandkids. We also have 2 cats and a dog, the latter features as my 'photo' image. I used to be able to blog daily but these days I struggle to blog weekly. Hopefully now we are settled into our new home in the country, I can get back to a daily (well almost) update from the room I now have to share with hubby. No more personal crafting space for me!!! Thanks to all the blogs and sites I follow for all your brilliant inspiration, and thank you to everyone who finds the time to comment on my blog.

Journalling - Gibraltar Pages

Well, I did get a card made today but what with the computer playing up and then the camera battery taking a holiday I'm left with nothing to upload this evening.

So in true 'Blue Peter' style here are 3 of my journalling pages from my recent hols.

All three of them relate to our stay in Gibraltar. The top one starts with our delay on the runway at Gatwick - 'gazing wistfully'.... I distressed the pocket (bought from Art From The Heart) and used it to hold my boarding card and also the cable car ticket up The Rock.

This next one refers more to the hotel and although you can't see it on this picture the torn paper (under the 'C') is a snippet featuring the details of our Hotel - The Caleta.
I liked the ladies head but not the body so cut a triangle from DP to make a dress. Once I positioned it on the page I then noticed that 2 of my 'swipes' were perfectly positioned to form legs. That just left the shoes to find. I know the hand is out of proportion but I liked it and in any case there are no rules in journalling, lol.

Finally, this last one was the perfect background for our day on the beach and by the pool. It needs some more colour added to my doodling but apart from that I'm happy with it.

I may upload a revised version in the future.

I hope you like them. I'm pleased with my first 'solo' attempt at journalling.

I'll upload more pages soon, x
