About Me
- cockney blonde
- My name's Alison but for reasons too long to go into I'm known as Cockney Blonde or CB for short. I've been rubber stamping for several years but now spend most of my time either knitting or crocheting. However, with the advent of a New Year I have bitten the bullet and am tackling my usually hated pastime of sewing. I've even bought 'Sewing for Dummies' to guide me on my way. I've been with my hubby Dave for 24 years and between us we have 4 kids and 5 grandkids. We also have 2 cats and a dog, the latter features as my 'photo' image. I used to be able to blog daily but these days I struggle to blog weekly. Hopefully now we are settled into our new home in the country, I can get back to a daily (well almost) update from the room I now have to share with hubby. No more personal crafting space for me!!! Thanks to all the blogs and sites I follow for all your brilliant inspiration, and thank you to everyone who finds the time to comment on my blog.

Less Is More #26
OK Folks. First things first!!! THE Dog!!!
Yep, that cute little piccie at the top of my blog.....well, she's an absolute disgrace. I took the girls (dogs) walking in some fields earlier today. Now Etta, is a lady, and wouldn't dream of being a muck pup. But Joss....well she is just an imp (that's putting it mildly). All too late I spotted her rolling in something disgusting, a favourite hobby of hers. I called her back but the look on her face said it all.....I'm in big trouble now so I may as well make the punishment worth it....and proceeded to continue rolling in whatever disgusting, foul smelling muck she had found. So to home.....said dog was frogmarched through to the downstairs shower room, ordered into said shower and suitably chastised under a torrent of warm water, shampoo and verbal abuse from me. She was then banished to the garden to dry herself off. Not a happy doggy. But will she have learned her lesson....Will she heck, lol
So now onto my second card today. I've used an old Rubber Stampede image which I should use more often as I love it. I've coloured it with copics and was quite pleased with the result as I didn't use my usual cardstock. The sentiment is by Hero Arts, and I'm entering it into the current 'Less Is More' challenge which is 'Feeling Fruity'.
Hope you like it and here's the link, x

I love your card, the pair looks yummy. What a naughty dog, one of mine loves rolling in the yucky stuff.

This pear looks good enough to eat, Alison! Great card!

First, one of our dogs (we have 3) will do the same thing. In fact, I have stopped taking him to the off leash area because I can't stand the smell of him on the car ride home! The other two would never think of doing such a thing. Aren't our furry kids funny? So, you had my sympathy. :-)
ReplyDeleteSecond - great card for the challenge! I wouldn't tackle a large image like that with my Copics - and it looks great! TFS

Such a beautiful card! Sorry about your naughty pup-I'm sure she is back in your good graces by now! :)
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card Alison.
ReplyDeleteLol at Joss...bet she had loads of fun but not good for you having to clean her up. My little man is sat starting out the window chuntering as its pouring with rain here so no playing in the garden for him.
Yes a little pink one for us, found out at the 20 week scan ;-)

I found you - and am now a follower (why does that always sound a bit odd?).
ReplyDeleteLove the pear and your colouring is spot on.
As for the dogs - my little angel would never do anything like that, no she is more partial to rolling in mud and then finding a pile of woodshavings and ends up looking like she has been tarred and feathered.
